Privacy

The short version

PCS Sitrep does not require an account to use the guest listing checker. You can complete a listing check, copy or download your report, ask follow-ups, and use the Field Kit without providing an email address.

Optional email updates

After a completed listing report, you may optionally share an email address if you want product updates and notices about new features such as saved sessions and tools. Email submission is optional. It is not required to use the listing checker or to download a report.

Submitted emails are used only for PCS SITREP product updates related to that purpose. We do not bundle consent for unrelated marketing. You can unsubscribe from future emails. Email addresses are stored separately from anonymous product analytics and are never written into analytics event metadata.

Anonymous usage analytics

We use anonymous product analytics to understand whether the listing checker is helpful — for example, whether a check started or completed, whether someone copied a report, clicked a Field Kit resource, answered a one-click “Was this useful?” question, or interacted with the optional email prompt (shown / submitted / failed — without storing the email itself).

These events are tied to a random local session id, not to your name or email. Event metadata is limited to small predefined values (such as input type categories, result severity labels, resource slugs, feedback yes/no, email prompt status labels, and coarse error types). We do not store listing text, chat contents, landlord messages, URLs you paste, IP addresses, names, or email addresses in analytics events.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate pageview measurement. That traffic data is not used to build personal profiles or to track you across unrelated sites.

Local browser session storage

The guest listing checker keeps a temporary conversation and anonymous session id in your browser’s local storage so you can continue the same check without creating an account. Starting a new listing check clears that local session and creates a new anonymous session id. Clearing site data in your browser removes it.

OpenAI processing of submitted content

When you use PCS Copilot, the text you submit (and recent conversation context needed to answer) is sent to OpenAI so the product can generate a response. That processing is governed by OpenAI’s terms and privacy policy in addition to this page. Do not paste information you are not comfortable sending to an AI provider.

Standalone Field Kit AI scan prompts that you copy into a third-party AI tool still go to the tool you choose under that tool’s privacy policy. PCS Sitrep does not receive that paste unless you also submit it through PCS Copilot.

Accounts

Full accounts, saved cloud sessions, and profile memory are not part of the current guest launch flow. If we add them later, we will update this policy and only collect what is needed for the feature you choose to use.

External links

PCS Sitrep links to external sites — government housing pages, FTC reporting, AI tools, and others. Those sites have their own privacy policies. PCS Sitrep does not control them.
